What the calculator does and doesn't include
- Included: Roof size and orientation (measured from Google's aerial imagery), annual sunshine hours at your address, panel-level production modeling, and Massachusetts average retail electricity rates.
- Not included: SMART program payments, net metering credits, the Massachusetts 15% state tax credit, commercial MACRS depreciation, federal ITC for commercial, or local utility rebates. These typically reduce your effective system cost by an additional 30–50%.
