Worcester’s in-house solar team.
Locally owned and operated in Worcester, MA. We design, engineer, permit, and install every solar project ourselves — because quality demands a single team from start to finish.
Founded on a different idea.
East Coast Solar was founded by Mike Logan with a simple idea: Massachusetts deserved a solar company that stayed accountable from start to finish. Too many installers outsource their engineering, subcontract their crews, or disappear after the panels go up. They wanted to build something different.
Starting from a small office on Dallas Street in Worcester, they grew the company project by project, earning trust through quality workmanship, transparent pricing, and old-school accountability. Every customer got Matt or Mike's personal phone number. That hasn't changed.
Today, 6+ years in, East Coast Solar has installed over 5+ megawatts of clean energy across Massachusetts for homes and businesses alike. Through it all, the approach remains the same: one team, one standard, zero shortcuts.
Worcester is home. The community here is why the company exists, and giving back to Massachusetts through affordable, reliable solar energy is what drives the team every day.
The people behind every install.
Founded in Worcester by Mike Logan, operated out of Dallas Street.

Mike Logan
Founder & Owner
Mike founded East Coast Solar with a clear mission: to build a solar company that Massachusetts residents genuinely trust. From initial consultation to final inspection, we handle every project with the accountability, precision, and expertise our clients expect.
As owner, Mike remains directly involved in engineering, operations, and construction, ensuring every installation meets the company's standards for quality and performance. His emphasis on craftsmanship, honest communication, and long-term relationships has helped East Coast Solar grow steadily across Massachusetts.
Outside of work, Mike is a dedicated family man who values hard work, integrity, and building a strong future for the next generation — principles that shape both his life at home and the way he runs his business.

Matthew Honkonen
Director of Business Development
Matt leads every aspect of operations, from initial site assessments to final inspections. With hands-on experience across hundreds of installations, he ensures every system meets the highest standards for safety, performance, and aesthetics.
He joined East Coast Solar in 2022, bringing years of solar industry experience to the team. Today he is an integral part of managing both the residential and commercial crews, and he leads the company's efforts to build new executive partnerships across Massachusetts.
As Director of Business Development, Matt is often a customer's first point of contact — if you call East Coast Solar, there's a good chance he is the one who picks up the phone.
